Hello

Hello World! This is my sewing room. I've been sewing for one year and a few weeks. This hobby took hold of me like lockjaw and will not release. I'm going deeper in the rabbit hole. However, my main hobby is shopping. Mostly shopping for sewing, but I try to branch out. I have quite a few machines....and fabric. I know others have more, but they've probably been sewing for more than a couple of years.
And this is my treadle. I  just LOVE the machines as much as I love attempting to make things. The quilt block on the treadle pictured is a rail fence (?), and it's my very first block ever pieced.
And this is my fabric and pattern stash.

I have absolutely NO completed quilts yet. If I stop starting new ones, I can finish another. I know that and yet can't resist.

I am working on the following (just quilts):
  • Jenny Haskin's, Jenny's Essence (1st quilt ever, taking class to learn machine)
  • Stitcher's Garden (a year long block of the month with lot's of decorative stitching and applique)
  • The Facebook Treadle group block of the month.
  • Storm at Sea with Maggie Tinnin (American Sewing Guild)

And I have a few kits and panels and pretty fabric for others.

For apparel, let's see.....
  • A custom designed tee shirt for my step daughter.
  • Fixing hubby's hole-y tee shirts.
  • Matching flannel pajamas for my almost 4 year old, myself and her doll. (What? It's spring already?)
  • An Elsa costume for my almost 4 year old.....let's call her Victoria ('cause that's her name). Hopefully will be done in time for Halloween.
  • (more to be added as I figure it out)
Oh, and I'm a big Craftsy addict!

Are you still with me? Oh, then you must have some of the same addictions. Welcome! Let's share stories.
